Open Opportunity

In the midst of COVID-19, Lifelong needs volunteers now more than ever to provide groceries and meals to our medically vulnerable clients. As this is a continually changing situation, volunteers are able to sign up for as many volunteers shifts as they are able to in support our operations. Your help will go to the greatest need during this crisis.

Every week our Chicken Soup Brigade Client Care Advocates, Nutritionists, Chefs and Cooks, Warehouse and Distribution staff and regular weekly Volunteers work together to make, package, bag and deliver nutritionally specific meals for 1100 clients in the greater Seattle metro area living with  chronic health conditions

Where you come in: You can help people living with serious illnesses in our community. Every meal in our Kitchen is made from scratch using whole ingredients. Volunteers in our Chicken Soup Brigade Kitchen help prepare and package meals for our clients; slicing, dicing and peeling is the name of the game and a hugely important part of cooking nutritionally specific 'food as medicine’ for our clients. Warehouse Volunteers bag and organize medically tailored groceries for our clients while Distribution volunteers bring food directly to client's doorsteps. The Kitchen, Warehouse and Distribution Helper roles are an opportunity to work on a team of fantastic people who love food and nutrition and, to do something very important for our community.
