Voter Everywhere, a program of the Andrew Goodman Foundation (The AGF), activates youth civic engagement by connecting social issues to the ballot box. The Andrew Goodman Ambassador is an on-campus representative, advocate and champion for civic engagement. By inspiring and organizing peers, Andrew Goodman Ambassadors help students contribute their voice and build a healthier democracy.
The ambassadorship is a multi-year internship for emerging leaders, The Ambassador receives ongoing leadership training and support from The AGF and the College Champion. The AGF provides the ambassador with a $1000 scholarship ($500 each semester) and a $1000 activities budget per year to engage students in voter education and registration initiatives as well as social issue activism.
Term of Service: August 2020 - May 2021
Requirements:
- A positive and friendly attitude
- An interest in organizing voter registration/voter education
- Consistent communication and engagement with Campus Champions, on campus departments and student organizations
- A self-starter who takes initiative to develop and implement their work plan
- Able to commit a minimum of 6 hours a week through May 31st
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Commitment to participating in orientation and training, maintain weekly contact with Campus Champion and participate in conference calls with Vote Everywhere Program Manager
