About

Understand (PEG 2)

Hinds' Feet Farm's day program for adult brain injury survivors is a paradigm shift from the traditional medical treatment model for people living with brain injury to a model that embraces a holistic health and wellness approach, empowering members toward occupation and meaning in life post-injury.

We are looking for students to offer virtual programming for our members. To complete a PEG 2, students would need to create and lead approximately four different sessions on topics of their choice. Programs would need to be offered when Hinds Feet Farm is open, Monday thru Thursday, 9am-4pm.

Topics can include: writing, art, science education, dance, movement, etc. Presenters can either demonstrate or give a tour (like of the farm or a greenhouse, a science experiment, a musical or theater performance, etc.) or teach something to our members (like how to make an herbal salve or tea, how to make pickles, an art or craft project, information about science or culture, etc.).

We are also open to one on one conversations or activities if there are people less comfortable with a group. We are a fun and interesting group and would be so excited and grateful to have some new folks to interact with and learn from while we are stuck inside.  Our staff can mentor folks interested in presenting to us and provide education on brain injury.

We are also seeking a PEG 3 student to coordinate our virtual programming calendar. PEG 2 students will work with that student to schedule their days and times.
