Volunteer Opportunity--Remove Invasive Species!

Open Opportunity

About

Is your campus group interested in a socially distanced volunteer project? Join us to help maintain our 9 acre campus (part of Druid Hill Park). We have an abundance of invasive species in our meadow that need to be removed. The date listed is flexible--let us know what works for you and we will schedule an opportunity together. You can reach me directly at claire.runquist@parksandpeople.org

Here is a summary of our health and safety precautions:
  • No more than 15 people
  • Masks/face coverings are required, hand sanitizer will be available and required upon arrival
  • Volunteer Waivers/Photo Releases will be filled out online (either before volunteers arrive or on their own device when they do arrive if they forgot)
  • Volunteers will stay spread out more than 6 feet apart
  • Tools and equipment will be sanitized/washed before and after all volunteer events
  • Events will be kept short (up to 2 hours) because there will be no access to the building (aka bathroom) except in case of emergency
