This is a volunteer or internship opportunity which can be executed any time, either online or in-person. The responsibilities are:
- To prepare a mentoring plan describing the expectations of both the mentor and the mentees ;
- To work in collaboration with case manager to help facilitate the processing of cases and follow-up;
- To educate family members on the essentials of the American culture;
- To initiate parents on proper parenthood and children on how they should relate to their parents;
- To educate parents and children on particular legal clauses of civil laws regarding the family and parenthood in the USA;
- To help families read and answer messages on their mobile phones or in their regular mails from Job and Family services and other public sources;
- To help families get skills on how to use specific home appliances;
- To help them to get to know the city, specifically the location and access to essential services such health care and shopping centers
- To identify, document uncommon problems and make referral to appropriate levels for case management and do follow-up on the same;
- To prepare concise progressive report to the Program Manager;
