Malcolm X Elementary School is seeking in-person and remote volunteers to help with the 2021-2022 School Year.
Areas in need of volunteers include:

Tutoring in Literacy and Math Skills

Clerical Duties in Main School Office

Inventory and Organizing Supply Closets

Classroom Organization and Set-up

Small Student Group Academic Skill Building

Supporting Inner Core Teachers -- Art, Music, and Physical Ed.

Designing Stage Props and Backgrounds

Mural Painting

Supporting Outdoor Learning Implementation

Working with Before and After School Programming
All volunteers must complete the DCPS volunteer security screening process before volunteering.
Volunteers can sign up through this GivePulse event or email Malcolm X Elementary School Community Liaison, at Lauren.Briscoe@k12.dc.gov. Once registered, volunteers will receive the next steps and instructions on the DCPS security screening process.
