Internship Overview:
Students selected for a Training Student Intern Volunteer role will assist the Training and Professional Development Manager in creating and updating materials and processes related to New Vista employees' professional development and initiatives. Individuals selected for this internship will apply skills acquired in school to assist with state training updates, current training evaluations, employee education, and skill development opportunities that utilizes evidence-based methods and research. Additionally, Interns in this role will work on various projects related to the students' education track and career goals while also serving as a training resource for employees to engage throughout the internship duration.
Interns in this position will utilize critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and practical communication skills to research, create, update and implement projects or initiatives that align with the Training Department and the student's practicum or internship course's academic requirements.
Requirements and Additional Information:
Suitable for Students Pursuing a(n): Bachelors or Masters Degree
Suitable for Students Studying: Education, Healthcare Communication, History (with the intent to pursue a Masters in Public Health), Instructional Design, and/or Public Health
Hours of Opportunity: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Monday through Friday

In addition to the above requirements in the "Requirements and Additional Information" section, students selected for this position must provide the following:

Students must also complete and pass the following:
- Background Checks
- Drug Screening
Additionally, interns will be required to attend a one-day orientation. This orientation will fall on a Monday and is scheduled with New Vista's Human Resources department upon completion and a successful review of all required materials. Students who are missing academic obligations such as courses or mandatory meetings will be provided with an excused absence note.
