Essential Services: Rose Haven needs Supply Runners!

Open Opportunity

About

Rose Haven serves women, children, and marginalized genders experiencing poverty and homelessness in Portland. Our guests have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as many social service agencies have been forced to close their doors. We have remained open to provide meals, showers and restrooms, advocacy, mailboxes and phones, financial assistance, and essential supplies.

Supply runners are one of Rose Haven's greatest volunteer needs! In this role, the volunteer works with a staff member at the front door, to provide requested supplies to our guests, generally hygiene products, clothing, mail, and outdoor supplies. Here you will act as a personal shopper for our guests, taking their order and then going inside to collect the supplies. After you have collected the items they are looking for, you will bring it to the person waiting outside.

We are following COVID-19 safety protocols by limiting the number of volunteers in the building, keeping at least a 6' distance from each other. Volunteers must do a temperature check when they enter the building. Masks are required at all times, and gloves are also available.
