Grant Writer/Researcher Volunteer

A successful grant writer/researcher volunteer enjoys using their talents in writing and research to help in the fight against human trafficking in North Carolina.

Our grant writer/researcher volunteer will be asked to search university resources to find grants that align with the missional work of NC Stop Human Trafficking. The grant writer/researcher will also have to be creative, organized and deadline driven.

The grant writer/researcher volunteer will gain hands-on experience writing and preparing private and/or government grants, while helping to fund our work as a nonprofit organization.

This position is flexible.

Grant writer/researcher volunteer skills include:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Willingness to learn new tasks


Comfortable with writing


Grant writer/researcher volunteer tasks:

Research available grant opportunities using data base

Assist in compiling preliminary information for prospective grants

Contact potential granters to ask questions for clarity and purpose
