CCBHC Overview:
Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) is a model of care that integrates primary health care into New Vista's existing mental health and substance use services to provide integrated services to clients. Internship Overview:

Under the guidance of professionals in a community mental health setting, students will increase their knowledge of National Outcome Measures (NOMs) utilized by SAMHSA to evaluate the CCBHC model of care. Students selected for the Mental Health Data Student Intern Volunteer role will assist the CCBHC Program Evaluation Specialist in completing NOMs Surveys with current clients engaged in CCBHC services and other related activities. Interns will have opportunities to be involved in staffing and quality meetings, compile information and data for submission into the SPARS system, and present data to the New Vista Quality Council and other relevant meetings.  
Interns in this position will utilize critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and practical communication skills to complete detail-oriented tasks and assignments that align with the collection of NOMs and the student's practicum or internship courses academic requirements. 


Requirements and Additional Information:

Suitable for Students Pursuing a(n): Associates or Bachelors

Suitable for Students Studying: Any degree track related to Human Health Services. 

Location: Fayette County

Hours of Opportunity: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Monday through Sunday

Available Slots: Two

Requirement Details

In addition to the above requirements in the "Requirements and Additional Information" section, students selected for this position must provide the following:

  • Three Professional References
  • Official Transcript for your Current Program
  • Signed Contingent Offer Letter

Students must also complete and pass the following:

  • Background Checks
  • Drug Screening

Additionally, interns will be required to attend a one-day orientation. This orientation will fall on a Monday and is scheduled with New Vista's Human Resources department upon completion and a successful review of all required materials. Students who are missing academic obligations such as courses or mandatory meetings will be provided with an Excused Absence Note.
