Hello! My name is Nathan, I am the Pullman 2040 Environmental AmeriCorps Steward. Are you interested in talking one-on-one, having a presentation to a RSO, Board, or classroom about the Pullman 2040 Sustainability goals or the Environmental Taskforce? I am here for you!

In case you are unsure of what the Pullman 2040 Environmental Taskforce is, we are a collective of 23 environmentally interested or environmentally oriented entities working to connect, share, and collaborate on environmental issues in the South Fork of the Palouse River Watershed. 

For the last 2 years, we have been meeting monthly to discuss, debate and consolidate the environmental issues we need to tackle in the next 19 years. In that time we have hired an Americorps, and we have narrowed 160 goals to just 28. These 28 goals fit into 4 major overarching themes. 1) Community Understanding, 2) Access and Engagement, 3) Citizen Science and environmental choices, 4) Entity Collaboration, data collection and application.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
