Give it Up for Giving Tuesday - Food Rescue is what we do

We are a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing food insecurity by rescuing food that otherwise would've been thrown away. Save the Food believes in uplifting our community through healthy food and choice. At each of our giveaway sites around town, our clients get to choose from our fresh selections and take home around 15-25lbs each. We have our team of 60+ volunteers to thank for their weekly commitment to collecting and distributing this food.

As we move into 2022, we plan on expanding our operation by starting up a whole new hub of operation. This will require more volunteers, another staff member and most of all secure funding, We are asking folks this Giving Tuesday to think beyond this month alone, and contribute to us on a monthly basis. Monthly donors give us stability as we explore our options opening up this new hub.

Thank you all for taking the time to learn more about us. Please check out our website at for more information.
