For Goodness Cakes matches volunteers to make and hand-deliver birthday cakes to foster children and at-risk youth on their special day.
Birthdays are often overlooked due to more pressing needs. Our mission at For Goodness Cakes is to give individual youth at least one special moment that is all about them. By providing a child a treat made especially for them, it gives them some much needed time to not feel the increasing pressure of their socioeconomic situation, but rather grow optimism and confidence.
How we work: Agencies will request cakes via our website. Requests include the youth’s preferences such as favorite flavor, color, and interests (for decorations). Volunteer bakers can login to our site to pick, bake, and deliver a cake to a local agency that fits their schedules!
We are entirely run by donations and the hard work of our volunteers, to help bring a smile to a child's face on their special day.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
