About
The Neighbors Program is a family support program serving foster, adoptive, kinship, reunified and biological families. It helps isolated and overwhelmed families connect with local volunteer Neighbors in their community who provide support through a monthly meal delivery, grocery drop-off or care package once a month for six months. The program typically only requires a 2-4 hour commitment every month, and is a way for volunteers to make a direct and lasting impact with families in their own community.
We've matched 305+ families throughout Colorado, Texas, California, Illinois and now Arkansas and have seen great results with foster parent retention, greater feelings of support, and more stability for kids. Find more information and see what former families are saying about the program here.
If you and your organization have some extra love and time to give and are looking for a way to support Arkansas foster families in need, we would love to have you join our program as a Neighbor. You can find more specifics on being a Neighbor as well as the application here.
Feel free and message me at mitchell.devito@tennysoncenter.org if you have more questions. I would love to set up a time to speak with you as well.
