The Mass Shooting Database

Open Opportunity

We are an advocacy group based out of the Washington, D.C. area that was recently awarded non-profit status in Virginia, and are now in the process of obtaining federal non-profit status. Currently, we are a group of about 40 activists and college students working to put together the most comprehensive database of gun violence in America. Our database is unique because we include instances of domestic and neighborhood violence in addition to what are already considered "mass shootings." Our goal is to provide policymakers with the most specific, detailed information possible in order to better our societal understanding of the impacts of gun violence. We are currently seeking volunteers who are particularly interested in data entry/analysis, computer science and graphics, communications, political outreach, and related areas. However, we welcome anyone who can dedicate time to the organization, as we are still in the early stages of building our non-profit and need all the help we can get. Remote and local volunteers welcome! Please feel free to send us an email or click the website link to fill out our interest form.
