Communications Specialist - Hybrid Remote and In-Person!

Open Opportunity

About

The Volunteer Services department at Westminster Winter Park seeks volunteers to become Communications Specialists. If you're a creative thinker, organized note-taker, or love connecting people, this is the role for you!

The Communications Specialists will work on the following projects:
  • Create eye-catching flyers, posters, and other handouts for upcoming special events, dinners, and resident activities using Canva, Microsoft Publisher, and other graphic design software
  • Distribute flyers and messages throughout the community and post to the Westminster app, MyWLife
  • Collaborate with the Director of Volunteer Services, staff department leaders, resident MyWLife Committee members, and general resident users to improve use of the community app
  • Film, edit, post, and distribute videos of resident lectures, monthly community business meetings, and other events as requested
  • You are welcome and free to identify new projects that match your passions!
Flexible schedule available, with both remote and in-person scheduling depending on your preference and availability. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, and evening and weekend special events offer additional opportunities. Interested volunteers should be available between 10-20 hours per month.

During all in-person work, volunteers will wear a new, surgical face mask, must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, and participate in a temperature screening upon arrival.
