For my project of Zooniverse I classified Round Island Petrels on SeaBirdWatch and flora from Texas on TORCH. I like animals and it was interesting to see all the birds in their natural habitat, and pick up on their nesting tendencies. I did not realize how important it was to note flora from Texas and Oklahoma, it was interesting was interesting to learn how to identify and classify the botanicals by each of their identification card.
The dolphin chat project was not my favorite lol, it was almost frustrating because I felt like I couldn't really determine what exactly I was hearing. It was a cool project to just read about and try though.
This was my absolute favorite project on the zooniverse website. This was super interesting and fun to listen to the one second sound bite and try to determine the maturity of the person. And it was really crazy how I could almost determine all of them off of a tiny clip.
Eyes on eyes - This project provided us with photographs of annotated rol eye images and one had to point out whether the eyes rol was normal or too blurred .
Killer whale count project provided me with photographs of the ocean and asked whether your a killer whale was present but some of the images were very diffuse to distinguish .
Frog find- Amongst this project I was giving the opportunity to distinguish whether in the audio a frog sound was heard or it was silent.
Overally I personally really like doing community service on zooniverse. It really has everything for my interests. I tried out the "eyes on eyes" project, and it had me annotate the eye x-rays and look for white blood cells and it really made me feel like a doctor lol, I had fun trying to look for the white blood cells and it made it even cooler to know that we're doing this to help them improve the way they monitor children's eyes.
