This is an amazing feeling. Giving my time to people in need and knowing it will make a positive impact. Thank you to give pulse and We CU for amazing opportunities such as these.

I was looking for a project that was a bit different than I usually did, I wanted an opportunity to maybe have more of an impact on a specific person. I really liked this opportunity because it gave the opprotunity to help a broad range of people. Not only people who are struggling with housing, but the elderly as well. I saw this opportunity and immediately thought of my grandmother. Every two weeks she makes sandwiches for those less fortunate and delievers them to a food drive. She has been such an impact on my life as well as many others. I actually called her and we worked on this project together. We worked for just upwards of three hours. We really wanted these notes to be special so the process of writing each one took time. We wanted to brainstorm our ideas for each one and make sure it was special for people. I loved having the opportunity to do this because there have been many times in my life when I looked for someone or something to help motivate me through the day. Knowing that I can be putting a smile on someone's face who is struggling with housing is a great feeling. We worked together on this project this past Wednesday. We created a lot of cards, and plan to create more together on Saturday. We wanted to send a lot of them together so we created them and after we create more on Saturday we will be sending them out. I hope there is some sort of response that they were received and/or given out. I look forward to doing this in the future.
