YMCA of Metropolitan Denver

About

When people are looking for more meaning in their lives and more connection to their communities, they look to the YMCA.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver has been a fixture in Denver for over 140 years. As a Y, we are more than a place to work out or drop off the kids for child care. We are a gathering place where healthy living is fostered, children are nurtured, and people support each other.

The Denver YMCA brings together more than 68,000 members, volunteers, and program participants at five local branches and 75 program locations throughout metro Denver, and we are one of 2,700 YMCA organizations nationwide, collectively serving more than 21 million people.

Through the Y, people find:

  • Youth development. From child care to teen leadership programs, the Y builds strength in young people, helping them discover their full potential.
  • Healthy living. The Y gives everyone – no matter who they are or what they’re going through – opportunities to learn about nutrition, exercise, and staying active. From yoga to diabetes prevention, the Y promotes the well-being of our spirit, mind, and body.
  • Community support. Here, people are supported to live healthier, better, and longer. The Y steps in to fill gaps when society falls short, through programs that promote improved health, youth achievement, and water safety. We foster giving back, helping neighbors, and volunteering.

At the Y, everyone is welcome, and everyone has the opportunity to become their very best.
