Provo Bicycle Collective

Volunteering with Provo Bicycle Collective is a fantastic way to get involved in the community, learn about bikes, and meet "bike-minded" friends. Before you volunteer, you must attend the Provo Volunteer Orientation. After the orientation, you are invited to "Join" our group and sign up for volunteer events. Our current volunteer opportunities are:

  • Volunteer Mechanic: if you're hoping to stick around for awhile to learn some mechanical skills and willing to get your hands dirty, this is the opportunity for you. Volunteer Mechanics are invited to our Volunteer Nights that happen every Tuesday & Thursday from 6-9pm.
  • Women's, Trans, Femme (WTF) Night: available to women and gender-expansive folks, Monday nights from 6-8pm. Here you can learn more about bike mechanics, make friends, work on your own bike (for free), and shop around in an inclusive space.
  • Shop Volunteer: this opportunity is for you if you're wanting to volunteer, but not work on bikes. You'll be helping with cleaning and organizing around the shop.
  • Recycling: if you enjoy some heavy lifting and getting your hands dirty, this one is for you. You will be putting scrap parts into our shop truck and then carting them off to the metal and/or rubber recycling plants. This is available Tuesday through Friday, 10am-4pm. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Court-order Community Service: if you are required to volunteer a certain amount of hours, sign up for the public event--no orientation required.
