PSO Week of Service

About

This year will mark the 9th year of the annual PSO Week of Service (formerly PSO Day of Service) where PSO faculty and staff give back to the local Athens-Clarke county community (and others) by working at animal shelters, weeding gardens, spreading mulch and planting daffodils along the Loop, among many other opportunities. This year projects have been expanded to a full week of opportunities to give back in the local community. Service opportunities will take place November 13-17, 2023. In addition to in-person opportunities, PSO faculty and staff have the opportunity to contribute to the annual supply drive that benefits nonprofit organizations in the area. PSO faculty and staff are encouraged to review the opportunities below and consider signing up for this year's PSO Week of Service.

For our 2023 opportunities, the deadline to sign up will be Friday, November 10 @ 2:00pm.  The deadline to make donations or to drop off supplies is December 1 @ 4:00pm.

The collard harvesting effort at UGarden was very productive. We harvested and cleaned four rows of collards which will be used to support the missions of several community food bank efforts, including (UGA) Campus Kitchen.
