Today I prepared both breakfast and lunch for the families at the RMH. I also was able to assist them with organizing their recycling bins and helped them clean and wash down their outdoor toys for the children. Today I was able to meet more children and their families staying in the house. Although there was a language barrier with a few of the families that were from other countries, we still found a way to communicate with each other and enjoyed playing the good old fashion basketball game around the world.
I really enjoyed cooking food for the families, and playing basketball with the children. Many of the children had prosthetic limbs and it was inspiring to see them not let anything stop them. One of the older boys also played in a specialized wheelchair and he maneuvered around so well and had a really good shot.
