About

Responsibilities:

ON-SITE

  • Assist with the interpretation of important information shared during the welcome orientation
  • Provide interpretation assistance to volunteers on-site
  • Other duties as assigned

REMOTE

  • Be available to provide translation assistance throughout scheduled shift
  • Provide on-call translation when contacted throughout scheduled shift and if unable to serve for an entire shift, please contact respite@dwtx.org to request accommodations


Requirements:

  • Completed and cleared Background check
  • Available to complete hours in shift
  • Patient and kind demeanor

NOTE: THIS IS AN ON-CALL OPPORTUNITY. SPECIAL ACCOMODATIONS AVAILABLE IF WANT TO VOLUNTEER REMOTELY.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
