How did your direct service benefit members of the broader community and describe your service.
My service benefited the community by helping the look of the Nature center and making it look more presentable for people coming to enjoy the park and for those wanting to buy plants from the center. The person who was working the event was very happy with us that were working and enjoyed the speed and consistency that we had while working.

Do you plan to continue volunteering with this organization? Why or why not?
I do plan on coming back in the future. The person who I was working for was a member of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and we had a lot of really cool interactions. on top of that the Nature center on it's own was really pretty, even in the winter, and the work was fun and I got to get a little dirty while having fun.

Did you work individually or as part of a team during your service? How did that
impact your experience?
I worked in a team for this, and it helped a good amount because we were moving a lot of pots around the area we were working and because of that the extra hands was helpful, made the workload less and gave me someone to talk to.

What skills did you develop or improve through your direct service?
I really improved some of my potting skills as most of what I did was repotting plants and watering them. I was moving these bushes from one pot, cutting the roots and pruning the roots in places so that when I put it in a bigger pot there was room for it to grow.
